House of Artisans is an exhibition within the oldest standing structure in Abu Dhabi, the picturesque 'Qasr Al Hosn'. Built around the 1790s, this beautiful building overlooked the coastal trade routes and protected the growing settlement established on the island. Now it households many exhibitons, like 'House of Artisans'. This exhibition is an effort to protect and bring the traditional Emirati crafts of the past to the heart of contemporary culture. Together with the talented Tellart team we created an interactive experience where visitors can discover three old weaving techniques called 'Al Sadu, Khoos and Talli'. They can learn and try out how each craft works by making their own creation on a interactive table.
