The limited print 'Manuelle' is part of the illustration series 'Quarantine Characters'. A series about some very different personalities Lieke Milder was in lockdown with in a hostel in Cusco, Peru, during the COVID-19 crisis. Each person is pictured in their most iconic way of coping with the strange situation they were suddenly in.
"This petite French lady was the mother of the group, Manuelle. Manuelle was around her forties and had taken a sebaticcal after a big burn-out at work. Although she has a loving husband and two sons back home in France, she decided it was time to go on a solo journey to find herself and write a book about it. In the hostel this sporty woman really missed her excercise, so she did her cardio workout on a small dusty old hometrainer while multitasking by skyping with her husband and sons."
