The limited print 'Praxy' is part of the illustration series 'Quarantine Characters'. A series about some very different personalities Lieke Milder was in lockdown with in a hostel in Cusco, Peru, during the COVID-19 crisis. Each person is pictured in their most iconic way of coping with the strange situation they were suddenly in.
"The owner of the hostel is the Peruvian Praxy. A sweet young woman with a love for cooking. Her big red glasses fogged many times while preparing the tastiest meals. Unfortunately these delicious aromas quickly disappeared when she brought the dishes to her Venezuelan girlfriend who locked herself up in the bedroom for almost the entire time. Although her girlfriend wasn't the most joyful person in the world, the talented chef Praxy made us feel very welcome."
